Course Aims
Organisations and personnel use IT applications for different reasons according to which business, profession or sector they are part of. Therefore, ICDL Certificates have been developed to allow learners to choose module combinations best suited to their field. Passing the tests in your selected modules represents your ICDL Certificate.

1.   Certificate in IT Essentials
Certification of an individual’s basic digital literacy. It consists of four modules that cover crucial ICT skills and knowledge that everyone should have:

Word Processing:  demonstrate the ability to use a word processing application to accomplish everyday tasks associated with creating, formatting and finishing word processing documents

Spreadsheets:  understand the concept of spreadsheets and to demonstrate the ability to use a spreadsheet application.  Learners will understand and be able to accomplish tasks associated with developing, formatting, modifying and using a spreadsheet, in addition to using standard formulas and functions, and demonstrate competence in creating and formatting graphs or charts.

Computer Essentials:  have the knowledge of security and safety on the web, the concepts of online communities, communications and email.  It covers the essentials you need for going online, including web browsing, effective search engine use, online communication and email.

Online Essentials:  have the knowledge of everything from hardware to software to malware.  It includes the essential concepts and skills about the use of devices, file creation and management, networks and data security.

2.  Certificate in Web Design, Image Editing and Digital Marketing
Consists of the following three modules to demonstrate your competence in other areas such as digital marketing, administration, business, etc:

Web Editing:  acquire an understanding of key web publishing concepts and the core skills required to design, create and maintain a website, without having to commit time and valuable resources to a professional-level web design programme.  Candidates learn a range of web design skills from HTML to cascading style sheets (CSS).

Image Editing:  acquire an understanding of the main concepts underlying digital images and the fundamental skills required to use an image editing application to enhance images, apply effects and prepare an image for printing and publishing.

Digital Marketing:  acquire an understanding of essential concepts and skills relating to the fundamentals of digital marketing.  It includes creating a web presence, optimising content for search engines, using social media platforms, carrying out online marketing and advertising across a range of services, as well as monitoring and improving campaigns and analytics.

Option 1:  €395 plus €124 exam fee for IT Essential
Option 2:  €395 plus €104 exam fee for Web Design, Image Editing and Digital Marketing
Option 3:  €625 plus €187 exam fee for Option 1 and 2
