Course Aims

  • Suitable for photographers, graphic artists, Web Masters or designers or for anyone who would like to learn how to master the world’s leading imaging software and gain industry certification.
  • You will learn to retouch and repair images, composite images into artistic montages, processing digital photography.
  • Lighting and textural effects, adjustments to contrast and colour balance and saving images in formats for print and Web use.
  • Participants will gain training in efficient work techniques, understand colour management, advanced techniques, Layer Masks, Channels, as well advanced type control, Vector techniques, Smart objects and Smart Filters

Course Content

1.  Setting Project Requirements

  • Identify the purpose, audience, and audience needs for preparing images.
  • Standard copyright rules for images and image use.
  • Understand project management tasks and responsibilities; communicate with peers and clients about design plans.

2.  Identifying Design Elements When Preparing Images

  • Image resolution, image size, and image file formats for web, video, and print.
  • Design principles, elements, and image composition.
  • Typography.
  • Colour correction using Photoshop.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of image-generating devices, image types, and how to access resulting images in Photoshop.
  • Understand key terminology when working with digital images.

3.  Understanding Adobe Photoshop

  • Identify elements of the Photoshop user interface and knowledge of their functions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of layers and masks.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of importing, exporting, organizing, and saving.
  • Producing and reusing images.
  • Select the appropriate features and options required to implement a colour management workflow.

4.  Manipulating Images by Using Adobe Photoshop

  • Demonstrate knowledge of working with selections.
  • Use Photoshop guides and rulers.
  • Transform images.
  • Adjust or correct the tonal range, colour, or distortions of an image.
  • Retouching and blending images.
  • Drawing and painting.
  • Type and filters.

5.  Publishing Digital Images by Using Adobe Photoshop

  • Preparing images for web, print, and video.
